Having traveled coast to coast in his early years, Doug Hickok finally settled in Charleston with his wife, Becky, where he's been photographing commercially since 2001, providing colorful Charleston photo stock through his website, www.hueandeye.com.
Some of the images on his blog are from his film days when he shot Velvia slide film with Nikon and Canon SLR's and an assortment of lenses. In 2009 he made the switch to digital, and now photographs with a Canon 5D Mk II camera and an EF 24-105mm f/4L lens. His strengths are portraying a sense of light and color. Landscapes, cityscapes and gardenscapes are his favorite subjects, though the odd and humorous will catch his eye, too.
