Every year, this event reflects Spoleto’s dedication to fostering cultural change through education and community engagement, beyond the arts. It was an honor to celebrate the 2024 Award recipients – Kit & Joel Smith and Dr. Mary Thornley – who have contributed to their communities in inspiring and impactful ways. Like Mary Croghan Ramsay, for whom the award is named, and all the past honorees who came before them, Kit, Joel, and Mary are role models to us and countless others for how we can all give back to and serve our communities.
We will announce the 2025 recipients of the Mary Ramsay Civic Award early in the new year.
