Just announced! Charleston-based band 2 Slices joins the 2023 season of Spoleto Festival USA. The band will play during the Wells Fargo Festival Finale on June 11 at Firefly Distillery.
An indie group combining catchy dance beats with soaring synth-pop melodies and psychedelic guitar, 2 Slices is known “for their contagious take on pop music that has left crowds dancing” (Charleston City Paper). Danny Martin (lead vocals/guitar) began writing and recording solo material under the moniker, 2 Slices, in Ryan Wolfgang Zimmerman’s studio space in Charleston, South Carolina. He connected with an old friend, Brandon Fudge (aka DJ Lazer Cat), and the two started performing live with Martin on lead vocals and DJ Lazer Cat spinning the tracks. They were later joined by Brett Nash (bass guitar) and Justice Jones (drums). 2 Slices is releasing a new single, Figure 8, in June 2023.

Pack your picnics—and blankets and lawn chairs—and head for Firefly!
Firefly Distillery gates open at 5:00pm. 2 Slices will begin at 6:30pmm with headliner Tank and the Bangas taking the stage at 8:00pm. The evening ends with a fireworks display. Adult beverages will be sold on site; no outside alcohol will be permitted.

Bonus! In anticipation of the band’s finale appearance, Danny Martin of 2 Slices will take part in a pre-Festival pop-up event at The Whale Craft Beer Collective, presented in partnership with Ohm Radio 96.3FM and Spoleto Festival USA. On May 23 at 6:00pm, Martin will DJ and host Spoleto-themed trivia.
