Charleston Jazz is proud to partner with Spoleto Festival USA to launch Jazz is Community, a new initiative celebrating jazz as a catalyst for connection, education, and cultural exchange.
This collaborative effort brings world-renowned jazz artists to Charleston for dynamic residencies featuring performances, student engagement, and public programming — all designed to deepen community connections through the art of jazz.
The inaugural residency features NEA Jazz Master and cultural ambassador Big Chief Donald Harrison, who will lead a week of concerts, masterclasses, and community conversations during the 2025 Charleston Jazz Festival.
