In response to overwhelming demand, Spoleto Festival USA will present free simulcasts of two sold-out programs: An Evening with Ken Burns and George + George.
Presented as part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration and in partnership with SC250, these simulcasts expand access to two of the Festival’s most in-demand events. Audiences are invited to experience these programs in a shared, public setting—extending the reach of the live performances beyond the theater and into the broader community.

A sharply comedic new play from award-winning collaborators Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson. During the bitter winter at Valley Forge, General George Washington attempts to raise morale by mounting a small theater production of a then-banned English play about liberty. As snow falls and revolution looms, two Georges collide: the future first president and a secret visitor within their midst, King George I.
