Bank of America Chamber Music
Bank of America Chamber Music Program II
Overview
Negón’s work includes field recordings of birds from the composer’s native Puerto Rico and is inspired by the dramatic, orange flower of the same name which often represents joy and freedom, mirroring the sparkling textures of this music. Martinů and Beach provide a conclusion to the program with music from both sides of the Atlantic at the turn of the century.
