Overview

Dive into an imaginative, heartwarming adventure with Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer—a multi-award-winning, one-man puppet show that combines live performance, animation, and music into a moving story of love, hope, and courage.

In a beautifully crafted world brought to life through stunning visuals and inventive technology, Alvin sets out on an underwater journey to save humankind—and to reunite with the soul of his beloved wife.

Inventive, funny, and full of heart, this visually spectacular “micro-epic” by artist Tim Watts proves that even in the darkest times, love lights the way. Perfect for families and anyone young at heart, Alvin Sputnik is an unforgettable blend of imagination, storytelling, and theatrical magic.

A Hands-on Adventure  – Make your own puppet explorer!
Directly following each performance, all ages

Join us after the show to continue your deep-sea adventure with an interactive workshop on local sea life and sustainability! After each performance, audiences are invited to engage with educators and experts to discover ways that everyone can work to protect the animals that live along our Lowcountry coastline. As participants visit each station, they will receive recycled materials that can be transformed into a puppet, just like Alvin!  At the end of the experience, each explorer will get an interactive lesson on how to bring their puppet to life so that they can share what they’ve learned about sustainability and coastal preservation!

Participants are welcome to move through these stations at their own pace. The experience will run ~30 minutes.
