Overview

Disco-punk meets high couture

Visionary artist and producer Ebony Bones defies genres, drawing “equally from the wells of both punk and funk culture” (T Magazine), as well as disco, Afrobeat, classical, and pop to create her own unique sound. Bones has enlisted the China Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of India, and the New London Children’s Choir to score her works and counts fashion designers Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander Wang among her collaborators. For her Spoleto debut, Bones’s high-watt stage presence illuminates the Cistern Yard, backed by the blazing Bones Orchestra.
