Vietnam’s Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre
This thousand-year-old art form features colorful characters in scenes that depict heroism, magic, and the comical experiences of everyday life. The water puppets and puppeteers are accompanied by live traditional music on centuries-old Vietnamese instruments. They will perform outdoors in a specially built pool. This performance is suited for adults and children of all ages!

Spoleto Festival USA is internationally recognized for presenting unusual and exciting forms of performing arts; the Festival debut of Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theatre is no exception. This classic Vietnamese art form is steeped in ancient tradition and culture. Bring your whole family to experience and delight in the fire-breathing dragons, fantastical fish, plumed peacocks and more as they dance, dive, and glide over the water’s surface.

Special $20 ticket price available for children 12 and under; must be accompanied by an adult.
