Charleston Library Society
From its inception more than 260 years ago, the Charleston Library Society has been a cornerstone of intellectual and cultural life in Charleston. Today it is a center for scholarly research, a modern lending library, and an oasis of calm in the middle of Downtown Charleston. All are invited to join. Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art
The Halsey Institute is administered by the School of the Arts at the College of Charleston and hosts between five and seven exhibitions per year, highlighting adventurous contemporary art by emerging and mid-career artists of national stature. Gibbes Museum of Art
Explore Charleston’s history through art! The Gibbes houses a premier collection of Southern art and presents special exhibitions throughout the year.
